And, whilst I'm sharing pieces of media, Mux has a new release, fresh out of Halifax. It's entitled Function and it solid in all of its glorious acidy goodness.
Yummy tunes. Yummy yummy tunes.
Can't bloody wait for this weekend. The techno-y goodness from Pod6 and the housey goodness from Intimate is sure to be a killer combo.
Oh and there's a Fetish torture chamber.
I'll be there in fishnet regalia. You should be too.
Well, the spokesperson for fanboydom has spoken... and Rockstar Games liked!
Famed child actor-turned-blogger-turned-author Wil Wheaton had been sitting on a secret till today's San Andreas Launch. He managed to nail himself a voice on the radio stations. Fucking A. I dunno how many times I have spent just playing taxi in vice city listening to the VCPR station... now one of my favourite actors (if you haven't seen the stupendously surreal Jane White is Sick And Twisted I highly recommend it) gets his own radio station.
It seems he's really been shining through with voice jobs lately. He's gotten some extra work in Brother Bear as well as the recurring character Aqualad in Teen Titans. Now a big video game role. And this is a big one. I mean, who isn't gonna be glued to their playstations for the next 3 weeks straight?
Well, I guess I'm not. Cuz I've only got a gamecube.
And I still need to finish GTA3, too.
It's funny because I hear stories of how Jerry made his most productive work at Frances Kelsey secondary by merely showing up drunk. He managed to pile his way through most of his liberal arts classes simply because alcohol makes him rather introspective. Didn't work so well for math. I wonder how mushrooms would deal for that?
At any rate, I can almost understand drug testing if someone's been driving, as the whole license-to-drive thing is supposed to be a priviledge? Public education isn't supposed to be a priviledge, at least in my definition of the way the government should be handling it. Meef. Oh well. More bullshit we're supposed to deal with simply because that's the way it goes.
I remember people smoking weed in grade 7. I was never one of them, but the people who were were really harmless to society in general. Fuck almighty. More prisoners out of the innocent.
This fire's out of control, we're gonna burn this city, burn this city....
Kent did something else I thought was really smart (he does that sometimes).
The Great Sample Database is basically a wiki for public consumption. The forums exist to nitpick genres and solve "chicken or egg" debates over who sampled whom.
What should be neat is the way it'd rank like google.... most sampled songs, most sampled groups, etc.
I'd only hope that someone doesn't get the idea to put any references to the Amen Break in there.
Hey, it'd be an interesting thing to see.... how many tallied songs sample the Amen Break... be quite the feat to mantain it, but Ishy may very well be bored enough to do it.
Like They Might Be Giants? Or maybe Chumbawumba?
From the bowels of Indie Rock (and Ian), I give you Neutral Milk Hotel.
Heard them a couple times whilst over at Ian's place, discovered one of their CDs sitting on my desk. I assume it originally came from Ian as it has his trademark calligraphy on it. But Ian claims to not have left it there, so it's just some obscure wormhole placed by the Gods intending me to check it out, I suppose.
Check out the album In The Aeroplane Over The Sea. Suprnova sadly doesn't have any torrents of it, maybe if someone finds one they could post it in the comments? Ja? Ja!
Thank god I use a Karma unlike those thievish iPod nasty people.
Out of curiosity, where the fuck did Ballmer get these stats?
Wow. Chalk one up for the hackers.... Sony seems to be tech-conscientious enough to realize when change is nigh or something like that and are started to get rid of silly circumventable restraints that don't stop anybody from doing what they're not supposed to be (theoretically) doing.
Does this mean that maybe the pressure over copyrights and all the filesharing bullshit might be at a decline? Mayhaps a nice step in the evolution towards a better world?
Oh, and From the same /. article.... Neat shiny toys for people to gawk at...
